Join us in Downtown Ellijay on July 4th as we celebrate America's 250th birthday with a full day of small-town charm, patriotic fun, and unforgettable memories!

Before the festivities begin, spend the day exploring Downtown Ellijay. Wander through local shops, enjoy delicious food from local restaurants, and visit community favorites like the Ellijay Farmers & Artisans Market. Don't forget to check out our Independence Day Decorating Contest! Participating businesses will be showing off their red, white, and blue spirit, and you can cast your vote for your favorite display from 9 AM–5 PM at the Downtown Welcome Center.

Then, from 3 PM–8 PM, join us for our 4th of July Festival featuring vendors, food trucks, family-friendly activities, and more!

At 7 PM, gather around the Square for our annual 4th of July Parade as our community comes together to celebrate the nation's 250th birthday.

As the sun sets and the parade concludes, look to the skies for one of Ellijay's favorite traditions, our anticipated 4th of July Fireworks Show! 🎇

Just 12 miles from Downtown, Tumbling Waters Nature Trail at Carters Lake is the kind of place that makes you slow down and look around. The trail winds just over a mile through quiet woods, with songbirds overhead and sunlight breaking through the trees.🌳
