Kendal is truly one of a kind! Her sense of humor, positive attitude, and ability to make everyone around her smile makes her such a light in our gym. Kendal brings so much joy to our team every day!

Ever wonder why your gymnast is doing handstands on a balance beam or swinging from the bars when they're working on a back handspring?

A back handspring is much more than just "throwing yourself backward." It requires strength, body awareness, balance, timing, and the ability to create the correct body shapes at the right moment.

That's why we use all of the equipment in the gym as teaching tools. Hanging on bars helps athletes feel strong arch and hollow positions, balance beams challenge body control and handstand alignment, and other apparatus help build the strength and confidence needed for safe, successful skill development.

Every station has a purpose. While it may not look like a back handspring, each drill is teaching a piece of the puzzle. When those pieces come together, gymnasts develop stronger technique, better habits, and more consistent skills.

Trust the process—the fundamentals we build today create the back handsprings of tomorrow! 💙🤸‍♀️
