Mermaid seated on a chair is a beautiful way to open up the side body, encouraging a deep stretch through the intercostal muscles and improving lung capacity. By lengthening one side while gently anchoring the other, this movement creates space in the rib cage, supports better posture, and promotes fuller, more expansive breathing.
