We endeavor to ensure that future members will inherit a well-managed, top quality shooting venue and a legacy of marksmanship, sportsmanship and friendships. When open, they are supervised by at least one Range Safety Officer. There are shade covers over all firing lines. Al

l ranges have bathrooms. The range facilities can be reserved for use by law enforcement, military units and other groups as approved by the Board of Directors. Our property is a designated wildlife refuge that is home to quail, bobcat, coyote and deer.

On Saturday, April 11th, we hosted our second NRA Women On Target for the year.

The weather was looking a bit dicey leading up to the big day, seeing possible rain and even lightning coming in. Alas, the weather forecasts changed daily, becoming less and less menacing and finally we had a beautiful sunny, sometimes cool and breezy day. Perfect for us!

18 ladies attended, some who had joined us before, some first time shooters and everyone's favorite lady, Miss Sylvia, who wanted to learn about gun safety at a young age of 92. We all adored you Sylvia! You amazed us all.

Thank you to all of our volunteer mentors for giving your best in time and attention to these ladies. The big smiles they took home with their certificates is a clear testimony to how awesome you all are.

South Bay Rod and Gun Club celebrated Valentines Day by holding the first Women On Target class of 2026. ❤️

Ladies came out to learn about fi****ms safety and the basic fundamentals of handling three different guns, and the fun and challenge of shooting at various types of targets.

It was a fantastic day and everyone had a great time. Many thanks to our mentors who helped make this a memorable day for these ladies. Thank you to everyone for choosing to spend your Valentines Day with us.

Our next class is on April 11th. Registration will open up on our website on March 12th.
