A little bit about Bumper to Bumper!
Video of dance below⬇

Bumper to Bumper is a sharp, modern Intermediate line dance that brings a lot of groove and "attitude" to the floor. Choreographed by Jevan Canada in mid-2025, it’s set to the catchy song "Tráfico" by Casely.

Because the music has a smooth, urban Latin-pop vibe, the dance focuses on flow and percussive transitions rather than the percussive stomping you’ll find in "She's Not Afraid."

Dance Breakdown
Structure: This is a 64-count, 2-wall dance. It’s long, but the phrasing matches the music very well.

The Vibe: It’s all about "Socal traffic" style—smooth, cool, and rhythmic. It feels less like a traditional country dance and more like a modern urban routine.

Why It’s Intermediate
The challenge in Bumper to Bumper lies in the count density. With 64 counts and a few "out-out" ball-change variations, there isn't much "dead air" in the choreography.

The Wall 3 Tag is a specific spot to watch: after 46 counts, instead of the usual spiral turn, you'll perform 3 Boogie Walks (left, right, left) before restarting the dance. It’s a fun rhythm breaker that always gets a good reaction once the group nails it!

Want to know about one of the dances we are learning on Saturday?!?!
Below is a video of the choreography ⬇
Here is a little description:

She's Not Afraid is a high-energy, technical line dance often categorized under Catalan Style. It is choreographed to the song of the same name by One Direction, and it's known for its upbeat, rhythmic complexity which fits perfectly into an intermediate or advanced session.

Dance Breakdown
Choreography: Created by The Darlings (specifically Dylan DeClue, Sofia Balzano, and Pol F. Ryan).

Style: Catalan Style (Modern Country). This means you can expect a lot of "stomp" movements, jumping steps, and sharp heel-work.

Structure: It is a 2-wall dance, but the phrasing is quite intricate. It follows a sequence (A, B, and C sections) that shifts with the song's energy.

Why It’s Advanced
The difficulty doesn't just come from the steps themselves, but the speed. One Direction’s track is fast, so the transitions between the verse and the chorus require quick footwork and precise weight shifts. It’s a great routine for working on your "sliding" technique—which is exactly why those sliding shoes or half socks will come in handy!

🤠 Ready to Level Up? Intermediate & Advanced Line Dancing!

If you’ve mastered the basics and are ready for more complex footwork, syncopations, and higher-energy routines, this is the session for you. Join us for a night of high-level dancing where we push the pace and dive into technical choreography.

📍 Location & Time
Where: Jazzercise Studio (Plaza 20 Shopping Center)

Address: 2600 Dodge St Suite D7LL, Dubuque, IA 52003

When: Saturday, May 16th

Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Cost: FREE

💃 The Setlist
This session is packed with sharp movements and great rhythms. Here is what we’re tackling:

New Lessons: We are diving into She's Not Afraid and Bumper to Bumper. Be ready for some quick transitions!

Review: We’ll be revisiting The Sphinx from last month to make sure those steps are locked in.

👟 Gear Up
For these advanced sessions, we move fast! To ensure you can handle the turns and slides safely, please wear sliding shoes or half socks. Avoid standard boots, as they can be a bit too "grippy" for the floor and the speed of these routines.

Let’s master those steps! See you on the floor! 🎶✨
