With the 2025 season officially over, let’s revisit the top times from SMCXC since the return of athletics in 2021.

Freshmen and move into the top five, while last year’s PR from moves to 7th. Lainey Yearling and highlight the women’s side, while also hangs on in the top two with her freshman year personal best.

caps off his stellar freshman season with a 24th place finish at the NJCAA Div. II National Championship to secure 3rd Team All-American honors, the first Roadrunner to earn the distinction since the return of cross country in 2021.

Congrats to Big O and all our Roadrunners who braved the snow on Saturday at Nationals. Roadrunner Nation is proud today. 💛💚

Owen Saylor leads the Roadrunners to a 16th place finish at the NJCAA Div. II National Championship. Lainey Yearling takes 65th to lead the women to an 18th place team finish.

SMC XC leaves today for Fort Dodge, Iowa, to compete in the NJCAA Div. II National Championship this Saturday, Nov. 8th!

Can’t make it out to Iowa to watch in person? No sweat! Stream this year’s event, as well as the DI and DIII races, on runnerspace.com!

Roadrunners will run in the last two races of the day, with the men taking off at 2:30 (3:30 EST) and the women capping off the day at 3:30 (4:30 EST). Tune in and watch your Roadrunners at the national stage!
