The school board is to be voting on the pool heater at their June meeting. Check back to see if lessons will be available in July.

Reminders!!

New swimmer try-outs are being held May 4th and 5th from 5:30-6pm at the pool. The pool is located at Dover Area High School. Swimmers trying out for the team should arrive in their suit ready to swim. Please bring a towel and goggles. Swim caps are optional.

Starting tomorrow, community rec swim changes to 7:30-8:30pm on Monday and Wednesday evenings. There is NO water aerobics.

Pool updates as of 4/18/26

The pool temp is currently around 74 degrees.

SUMMER SWIM LESSONS:
Due to the ongoing pool heater issue, we are currently assessing whether or not summer swim lessons can be held. We will plan to hold swim lessons if the pool heater is fixed prior to June 2026. Registration will not open until we know if we can proceed with lessons.

If we can hold summer lessons, the following dates will be used:

Summer I (Held Mon-Thursday afternoons)
June 8-11th, 15-18th

Summer II (Held Mon-Thursday afternoons)
July 6-9th, 13-16th

COMPETITIVE SWIM TEAM:
Our competitive swim team will continue as planned.

New swimmers should attend tryouts on May 4th or May 5th, 2026 from 530-6pm. All swimmers hoping to join the competitive team should be able to swim 25 yards without stopping or assistance. Swimmers attending tryouts should bring goggles, a suit and a towel.

The first day of practice for all new and returning swimmers is May 6th.

COMMUNITY REC SWIM
Community rec swim remains available to the public on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm. In May, rec swim hours change back to 7:30-8:30pm. Please make sure to check the rec swim calendar posted to our website for closures or changes.

WATER AEROBICS
Water aerobics will not resume until the pool heater is fixed.

As we receive updates from the school district about the status of the pool heater, we will update you here.

Pool update 3/28/26

We have made the unfortunate decision to cancel our spring swim lessons program due to no forward progress with the pool heater being repaired. All registered swim lessons families should have received an email this morning regarding refunds.

The pool will remain open for community rec swim on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm. The pool temperature is in the low 70s.

Water aerobics will not resume until the pool heater is repaired.

There are no changes to our summer competitive season. The competitive season will proceed as planned.

Looking ahead, summer swim lesson dates:

Summer I
June 8-11th, 15-18th

Summer II
July 6-9th, 13-16th

More information about summer lessons will be posted to our page and website once we are prepared to open registration.
