SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Kent Anderson

Kent served as the 96th team captain in program history and led the Pioneers to the 2026 NCAA Championship. A 2x national champion after also winning in 2024, the defenseman played in 150 career games for the Pioneers and totaled 21 points (6g/21a) and a +40 plus/minus rating.

The Calgary, Alberta, native's biggest goal of his career came in in the Frozen Four this past year, as he tallied the game-winner in double-overtime vs. Michigan.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Rieger Lorenz

Rieger scored in both the 2024 and 2026 NCAA Championship Games and capped off a four-year career with the Pioneers with two national championships. He recorded career highs this past season with 17 goals, 18 assists and 35 points.

The Calgary, Alberta, native finished with 94 points in 169 career games played - the second-most all-time at DU and the most-ever by a four-year player with the Pios.

USA Hockey is coming to Magness Arena this fall as the Pioneers will host the U.S. Under-18 team in an exhibition on Oct. 10.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Samu Salminen

The Helsinki, Finland, native only spent 2 years with the Pioneers but made an impact. He finished as the top faceoff man each season and recorded career highs as a senior in 2025-26 with 11 goals, 18 assists and 29 points.

Samu also served as an alternate captain in DU's championship-winning campaign last season.

We're proud of all that he's accomplished as a Pioneer.
