Zumba uses a series cues that are gestures to create signals ,to let people know what the move is coming up. Throughout all of my school years through college I studied American Sign Language. started learning how to teach, but I noticed a lot of similarities with the gestures compared to ASL, which is its own language on its own.
Simmie uses ASL to communicate. She started coming to my class when I first started teaching and has continue to dance with me
