Every year, we remove an average of 600 tons of trash and debris around the Conowingo Dam. It's one of the many ways we're helping to keep our waterways sustainable and clean.

This summer, be sure and stop by the Conowingo Dam and catch a glimpse of America's national bird, the Bald Eagle.

Our Muddy Run Park in Holtwood, Pa. is refreshing its playground areas as part of an ongoing effort to provide visitors with a more welcoming and enjoyable place to play. As part of that work, some older playground equipment is being removed while Constellation continues to develop a long-term replacement plan for updated play spaces.

A playground replacement plan is underway that includes design, budgeting and coordination. Improvements will take place over an extended period of time. Updates will be shared through park signage, at the Muddy Run Visitor Center and with additional public notices as plans move forward.

The Muddy Run Visitor Center is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and offers several activities for children to enjoy. The swing sets throughout the park are still available for use. Families can also continue to enjoy many of the other amenities at Muddy Run Park, including the Splash Pad, Hiking Trails, Recreation Lake, Frisbee Golf and Soccer Golf, baseball diamonds, basketball court, etc. The Ryan Observatory at Muddy Run is hosting an Open House on Saturday, June 13, 7:15 p.m. – 10 p.m. Check the events page at ryanobservatory.com for more information.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support as this work is completed to create updated and more enjoyable play areas for children and families at Muddy Run Park.
