The Raider Band is VERY proud of Edwin! He’s an incredibly deserving young man! We can’t wait to see the impact you have in the future!

This is the 3rd Raider Band recipient of the Gates Scholarship in the last 4 years!

We are so proud of Edwin Salaices for being our 3rd Gates Scholarship recipient! This year, Edwin is one of the 750 Gates Scholars selected out of 61,000 applicants from across the nation. The foundation says: these students are "the very pinnacle of academic achievement, service, and commitment". It's a last dollar, 100% scholarship based on the evidence that by eliminating financial barriers to college for high-potential, low-income minority students, they can better excel in their course work, graduate college, and continue to be leaders throughout their lives.
