Next On RunCCG’s Progression Post The Amazing Is Zahara Bernal

1️⃣ Zahara started with RunCCG after XC her junior year and quickly became one of the best runners s in the southeast

2️⃣ After joining RunCCG Zahara dropped her 800m by 10 seconds, 1600m by 26 seconds, 3200m by 63 seconds, and her 5K by 37 seconds

3️⃣ Zahara won state titles, was All South Region for NXR and Footlocker South, and in the last race of her high school career she won another state title

4️⃣ Zahara made these leaps by putting in consistent weeks of good mileage, increasing her lactic threshold, and a whole lot of tempos

*️⃣ Zahara ran top 7 for Columbia Lions XC/T&F for most of her freshman season and is headed into her sophomore year in NYC

Who Doesn’t Want To Dive On The Track On The Bell Lap?

1️⃣ SOPH! closes out her season winning the 800m at Nike Nationals EE division
2️⃣ Sophie closed out her season running 4:53 for 1600 despite almost going down on the last lap see slide 4-6
3️⃣ This was not the season Sophie dreamed of. She hurt her back lifting in January and didn’t run again till March. Despite that she ran close to her PRs, had her best finish at state and proved she’s gonna work through any adversity that comes her way

That’s How You End Your High School Career

1️⃣ Austin Cook opened Nike Outdoor Nationals winning her heat of the 800m in 2:09
2️⃣ Then Austin doubled back to run 4:50 for the 1600m (4:52 mile) to take 3rd in her heat
3️⃣ This is a 2 second PR in the 800m and massive 10 second PR in the 1600m
*️⃣ 10 second PR the last race of high school… that’s how you go out

Lucy Cramer Earns Another All-American

1️⃣ Taking 🥉at Nike Outdoor Nationals in the steeplechase, Lucy proved again she’s one of the best runners in the nation
2️⃣ Lucy Cramer went for the win on the last lap, her legs just forgot to jump over the last water barrier (see picture 2-4)
3️⃣ Despite crawling over the barrier and into the water, Lucy didn’t lose composure and finished the race in third
*️⃣ This young lady is tough and we expect a massive leap in xc this coming fall

The NAIA National Champ Is Next On RunCCG’s Progression Post
1️⃣ .04 joined RunCCG after his sophomore season and went from watching fast races, to being in them
2️⃣ Jack has dropped his 800m PR by 9 seconds, 1600m PR by 30 seconds (4:19), 3200m PR by almost 2 minutes (9:26) and 5K by just over 4 minutes (16:15)
3️⃣ Jack won the NAIA National Championship this fall in cross country. He just finished an amazing college career where he was 10xAll-American in college, ran 13:57 5000m, and kept improving

Steeplechase Star, Ryan Watson, Is Next On RunCCG’s Progression Posts

1️⃣ Ryan Watson started with RunCCG in December of 2020. In 1.5 years he dropped his 800m PR by 22 seconds (1:57), 25 seconds in the 1600m (4:16), 68 seconds in the 3200m (9:06), and 95 seconds in the 5000m (15:30)
2️⃣ In his year and a half with RunCCCG, Ryan collected 7 state medals, despite missing his outdoor state meet as a senior due to Covid
3️⃣ Ryan’s big improvements came from increasing his threshold training. He was able to show the natural speed in the shorter distances, while still improving at the longer distances
*️⃣ Ryan is coming off his junior year where he took 4th at he Big 10 Track Championships in the steeple. This year he set a PR of 8:46 and qualified for the first round of nationals

First Highlight Of The Class of 2027 is Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn is mid distance runner going into her senior season. She has very good speed and is developing her endurance.

She is open to speaking to any size school and is excited to run in college.

She’s extremely coachable and in her short time with RunCCG she has improved a lot. Currently a very low mileage runner, who is building up with time.
