To wrap up our advice from a leader series, here are some reflections from Emma:

The biggest piece of advice I would give to a first time auditionee is to do it scared, do it nervous, but do it with confidence and performance. The panel isn’t looking for perfection; they’re looking to see effort. They want to see you attempt everything even if it is your first time. They want to see you get back in if you mess up. Don’t get in your head and think you’re not good enough. Know that we are here to help you and want to see you succeed, so please ask questions if they come up. Coming in with an open mind, a good attitude, and a willingness to work will get you far within this audition process. You may feel overwhelmed but just go out there with your best foot forward, and most importantly have fun! I can’t wait to see all of you and I’m super excited to get this 2026 season started!

We are just a couple days away from auditions! Here is some advice from leadership member, Kaleb:

The best advice i can give is to BREATHE and be yourself! Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by the stress just because it’s an audition. Take a deep breathe and remind yourself YOU GOT THIS! you made the effort and put in the work to be here, now you gotta trust youself and be confident! Be sure to come with an open mind, eager to learn, ready to grow, and a LOVE FOR THIS ACTIVITY! It’s just flags in a gym/ on a field just have fun doing color guard, enjoy meeting new people, and learning new exciting things! It’s gonna be a great weekend and if you get anything from this it should be… BREATHE and BE CONFIDENT!
