Checked in on the farms last week. Well, we checked on the farms when Monroe wasn't fishing is more accurate but Man what a big help he is! Rice coming along at The Island and AnnieRoe. Beans are up and out! Caught fish! Fed the deer! Ate like kings at the St. Charles store! Thank you JD! It was hard to come home from home!

April is always an exciting month. CSMII turned 75 and still helps me pick up everything! is keeping the Bass humble at AnnieRoe! We replaced the floor in the living room of the house which according to the Arkansas County Courthouse turns 86 years old this year! Trying to preserve Crocketts Bluff history for as long as we can. Rice is planted in The Island and AnnieRoe! Monroe living his best life wearing me out wanting to go over to the club to fish and work on duck stuff! Will be here before you know it!

I honestly cannot tell you the last time it was just CSMII and I hunting The Island together just the 2 of us. I really can't, but as we go to family only it was my favorite hunt of the year! Is it challenging to take a 75 year old man hunting sometimes? Yes! Sometimes it is, but you have to be patient. I always remind myself that will be me one day God Willing I live that long. And Monroe will have to be helping me. Still seeing very few ducks. Very little shooting. Still have 20 days!

Slow day at Wolf this morning. Just didn't see many in the low haze. However, we ate like kings this evening!
