Your child doesn’t need to be the biggest, strongest, or loudest kid in the room to learn how to stay safe.

Our Kids Krav Maga program is designed to teach practical self-defense skills in a fun, age-appropriate environment. Students learn awareness, confidence, basic strikes, how to set boundaries, and what to do when faced with uncomfortable or dangerous situations.

No experience is needed. Whether your child is shy, outgoing, athletic, or just looking for something new, this class is built for beginners and focuses on real-world skills, confidence, and personal safety.

We’d like to officially congratulate Herzog, Herzog & Herzog on becoming our newest Second Degree Black Belts.

No, they’re not a law firm.

They’re just three members of the same family who decided earning one black belt wasn’t enough.

After years of training, showing up, pushing through challenges, and setting the example for those around them, all three have now earned their Second Degree Black Belts.

Honestly, seeing one family reach this milestone together is pretty incredible.

We’re proud of the work they’ve put in, the character they’ve shown on and off the mat, and the example they continue to set for our students.

Congratulations to the Herzogs on a well-earned accomplishment. We can’t wait to see what’s next.

Tonight, these seven individuals spent more than two hours being pushed to their limits during an intense Krav Maga Black Belt test. The cardio was relentless, the pressure was real, and every one of them had moments where they had to dig deep and keep going.

What most people see is a belt. What we see are the early mornings, sore muscles, busy schedules, sacrifices, doubts, and years of showing up when it would have been easier not to.

A huge thank you to Van Adams, Giusi Adams, and Michael Munyon for making the trip to sit on the testing panel. We appreciate your time, knowledge, and commitment to helping maintain the standards that make achievements like this meaningful.

Thank you to Marty Cale for allowing us to be part of his organization. We are grateful for the opportunity and proud to continue growing within it.

A special thank you to Master Thomas Gordon for always providing a place to train, grow, and challenge ourselves. The opportunities you create for our students and instructors make nights like this possible.

We would also like to thank Mayor J.B. Whitten for taking time out of his schedule to join us and witness this important milestone. Your support of our students and our martial arts community means a great deal.

Tonight was about more than passing a test. It was about proving to themselves that they could keep going when they were tired, uncomfortable, and challenged.

We are incredibly proud of all seven of you and can’t wait to see where this journey takes you next. The test may be over, but the journey is far from finished.

Congratulations on an accomplishment that was truly earned.

Teachers are exhausted by the end of the school year. We see it every single year.

So this summer, Gordon Martial Arts wants to do something for THEM. ❤️

We’re offering teachers FREE training all summer long. Fitness classes, martial arts classes, stress relief, self defense, and honestly… just a place to walk in and focus on yourself for a little while.

No experience needed. No pressure to be “good” at it. We just want local teachers to have a place they feel welcomed and supported.
