One week from today, we'll be gathering for the Connection Point Conference in Atlanta!
[And you can still register! https://bit.ly/CPCCon2026]

As the final details come together, we've been thinking about something more important than schedules, sessions, and logistics:

How are we preparing our hearts?

It's easy to arrive at a conference thinking about what we want to learn.

Which sessions will I attend?
What notes will I take?
What resources will I bring home?

Those things matter. But our prayer is that this weekend would be about more than gaining information.

We want to come ready to listen, worship, ask questions, build relationships, and be encouraged.

Ready to have our thinking challenged and our hearts shaped.

Ready to consider what it means to care for embodied people with wisdom, compassion, and faithfulness.

And ultimately, ready to look to Christ.

Dissociation, and AI | What happens when we lose sight of the connection between the body, the soul, and the story God is telling?

We’re honored to welcome Angela Shelton to the Connection Point Counseling Conference, where she will help us explore the intersection of the body, the mind, technology, and faithful biblical care.

In her breakout session, "Dissociation: Addressing the Dis-Integration of the Body," Angela will explore the complexities of dissociation and how counselors can better understand the ways trauma, suffering, and human experience can impact our embodied lives. This session will encourage us to think carefully about what it means to offer compassionate, wise, and biblically grounded care to those navigating fragmentation and disconnection.

During the pre-conference session, "AI: Impact on Perception and Ethics of Engagement," Angela will help us consider how emerging technologies are shaping the way we think, relate, and engage with one another. Together, we’ll explore the ethical questions and practical wisdom needed to navigate AI with discernment and faithfulness.

Join us as we gather to pursue a deeper understanding of embodied care and how biblical counseling speaks to the complexities of our world today.

Thoughtfully curated content by more than just our speakers 📚 One of the things we're most excited about at Connection Point is the opportunity to learn not only from the speakers on stage, but from the many resources and people gathered around the table.

That's why we're especially grateful to welcome New Growth Press as our Official Conference Bookstore for this year's conference!

New Growth Press has been thoughtfully curating a booklist for this conference specifically – and we are so excited about it!

New Growth Press has been producing thoughtful, gospel-centered resources for counselors, pastors, parents, and ministry leaders for years. Their books help bring biblical truth into the real questions and challenges people face—and that mission fits beautifully with what we're cultivating at Connection Point.

If you're a reader (or even if you're trying to become one!), you'll definitely want to spend some time with their team at the conference.

Come browse, discover something new, and maybe find a resource you'll bring home and return to long after the conference is over.

We're grateful for organizations like New Growth Press who share our desire to equip people for faithful, thoughtful, compassionate care.

Thank you, New Growth Press, for investing in Connection Point and in the counselors, pastors, and ministry leaders who will gather with us this September!

Will you pray with us? | There is a lot that goes into a conference: speakers, schedules, logistics, technology, travel, and all the details that make a gathering possible.

But ultimately, we want to depend on the Lord to do what only He can do. We want to continue to pursue and fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

Will you pray with us?

Pray for our speakers.
Pray that God would give them wisdom, clarity, humility, and faithfulness as they prepare and teach.

Pray for those who will attend.
Pray that God would prepare each heart to receive, learn, listen, worship, and be encouraged.

Pray for meaningful relationships.
Pray that conversations would go beyond small talk—that people would find encouragement, friendship, and a deeper sense of community in their calling.

Pray for the hard conversations.
We're gathering to consider some of the complex realities counselors, pastors, parents, and ministry leaders encounter. Pray for wisdom and grace as we engage difficult topics with both theological conviction and compassionate care.

Pray that Christ would remain at the center.
More than anything, we want this gathering to point us back to Him—the source of our hope, wisdom, and strength.
