They ignored God’s calling for months… but when they finally listened, everything started making sense.

And honestly?

That was me.

For months, I had this persistent nudge to start creating content and step into the online space.

I kept ignoring it.

Then I tried running from it.

Then I convinced myself I was imagining it.

But the more I tried to ignore the call, the louder it became.

It was like God kept tapping me on the shoulder saying, “Hey… we need to talk.”

Eventually, I stopped running and prayed a simple prayer:

“Lord, I want to do Your will. If this is what You’re calling me into, give me confirmation.”

And then something happened.

Within that first month, God started sending people my way.

People who needed encouragement.

People who needed hope.

People who needed someone to remind them that God hadn’t forgotten them.

And I realized something:

The confirmation wasn’t necessarily going to come as some massive, unmistakable sign.

It was going to come through the fruit.

Through the people I was able to encourage, serve, and bless.

Sometimes we keep asking God for clarity when He’s already given us the invitation.

Maybe the question isn’t, “God, are You calling me?”

Maybe it’s, “God, will I trust You enough to take the next step?”

You don’t have to see the whole staircase.

Just take the next step.

And if He’s truly calling you, you won’t be able to outrun Him forever.

Jonah tried.

Look how that turned out. 😂

Your calling may be uncomfortable.

It may not make sense.

You may even feel completely unqualified.

But obedience has a way of revealing what hesitation never could.

Take the step.

God can do more with your surrendered “yes” than you can do with a thousand plans.

Social media can be a blessing or a curse.

And honestly, I think the difference comes down to one thing: intention.

Social media itself isn’t the problem.

It can be an incredible tool to reach people, serve people, encourage people, and point people toward Jesus.

But if we’re not intentional, it can just as easily start shaping us instead of us using it to serve others.

That’s why I believe you have to be careful about what you consume.

You’re not just scrolling.

You’re training your mind, your attention, and even your algorithm.

So if you want to use social media to make an impact, start training your feed to show you the things you actually want to learn from and eventually create.

Follow people who inspire you.

Engage with content that aligns with your values.

Study what’s working.

Pay attention to the conversations happening in your space.

Then take those ideas through your own lens, your own experiences, your own creativity, and most importantly, what God is putting on your heart.

You don’t have to compromise your faith to reach people online.

You just need to know who you are, what you’re called to do, and why you’re there.

Before you open the app, ask yourself:

“Am I here to consume, or am I here to contribute?”

“Am I letting this platform shape me, or am I using this platform to serve?”

Because social media becomes a whole lot different when you stop seeing it as a place to simply get attention…

…and start seeing it as a place to make an impact.

Use the platform.

Don’t let the platform use you.

And whatever you do online, let your intention be to reach, serve, bless, and ultimately glorify God.

What if the fastest way to lower your stress isn’t to work harder, plan better, or “get your life together”…

What if you just need to remember how to experience joy?

I’ve noticed something about myself.

Whenever I’m carrying a lot of stress—especially when it’s business-related—my first instinct can be to try to solve the problem.

Think harder.

Work longer.

Figure it out.

But lately, I’ve been reminded of something much simpler:

Joy changes the atmosphere.

For me, some of the greatest moments of joy happen with my daughter.

We’re both complete goofballs, so when we’re together, there’s usually a lot of laughing, being silly, and doing things that probably wouldn’t make much sense to anyone else.

And honestly?

I’m incredibly thankful for it.

Because being around her reminds me how to be childlike again.

Not childish.

Childlike.

To laugh without needing a reason.

To be fully present.

To enjoy the moment instead of constantly thinking about the next thing.

And sometimes, that’s exactly what my soul needs.

Jesus said, “Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3

There’s something powerful about remembering how to receive life with wonder.

So if you’ve been stressed lately, maybe you don’t need another productivity hack.

Maybe you need some joy.

Call someone you love.

Play with your kids.

Go outside.

Laugh until your stomach hurts.

Turn the music up.

Do something that makes you feel alive again.

Joy isn’t a distraction from the important things.

Sometimes, joy is the reminder that the important things were never meant to be carried without God.

And for me?

That’s 110% joy.

Most Christians are asking the wrong question when it comes to finding their purpose.

We tend to ask, “God, what am I supposed to do with my life?”

But maybe the better question is, “God, how do You want to use the life You’ve already given me?”

As Christians, we actually have a unified purpose: to glorify God and serve others.

That part isn’t complicated.

But how you live that out? That’s where your unique calling comes in.

God has wired you differently for a reason.

Your gifts.

Your passions.

Your experiences.

Your story.

I like to think of these as your spiritual GPS.

They’re clues pointing toward the unique ways God may want to use you.

And here’s where I think we sometimes miss it…

We separate our “faith life” from our “calling.”

We think church, prayer, and Bible study are over here…

And our career, creativity, relationships, and dreams are over there.

But what if God wants to use all of it?

Your calling isn’t separate from your faith.

It flows from it.

The gifts God gave you aren’t random.

The passions He placed in you aren’t meaningless.

Even parts of your story you wish you could erase may become the very places He uses to bring hope to someone else.

So pay attention.

Pay attention to what God keeps putting on your heart.

Pay attention to the doors He opens and closes.

Pay attention to the things that make you come alive while allowing you to serve others.

And most importantly, stay close enough to God that you can recognize His leading.

You don’t have to figure out your entire life today.

Just be faithful with what He’s showing you right now.

Your purpose is bigger than a job title.

Your calling is bigger than a career.

And when you surrender your gifts, passions, and story to God, He can use them in ways you never could have planned.

“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31

Your calling isn’t something you have to manufacture.

It’s something you discover as you walk with the One who created you.

What if God asked you to let go of the thing you most wanted credit for?

That’s something I’ve been wrestling with lately.

As I’ve shared openly, I use various AI tools when I create and produce some of my music, including AI voices that aren’t my own.

And honestly?

At first, I wanted to change that.

I remember thinking, “These are my songs. I want MY voice on them. I want people to hear ME.”

But the more I prayed about it, the more I realized something uncomfortable…

Maybe this wasn’t about the music.

Maybe it was about pride.

I had to ask myself, “Am I trying to make sure people hear my voice, or am I willing to let God use whatever He wants to reach them?”

And I felt God reminding me:

It doesn’t have to be you.

It doesn’t have to be your voice.

It doesn’t have to look the way you imagined.

If the songs are encouraging people, pointing people toward God, and helping someone experience His presence, why would I need to make it about me?

That realization brought so much freedom.

Sometimes surrender doesn’t mean giving up the dream.

Sometimes it means giving up our need to be the one who gets the credit.

God can use your voice.

He can use someone else’s voice.

He can use technology.

He can use something you never expected.

The question is simply: are you willing to let Him?

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about being heard.

It’s about making sure He is.

And if God can use these songs to bless even one person, I’m going to keep giving them away.

For His glory. Not mine.

This might be one of the hardest questions a Christian content creator can ask:

“Is this really God’s work… or am I doing this for me?”

And honestly?

I’ve wrestled with this more than I’d like to admit.

You can start with the purest intentions.

You want to encourage people.
You want to point people to Jesus.
You want to use your platform for something that actually matters.

And then suddenly, you’re checking the views.

The likes.

The comments.

The followers.

And somewhere along the way, you start wondering…

“Am I still doing this for Jesus, or have I started doing this for me?”

I actually think that tension is important.

Because a genuine follower of Jesus will probably wrestle with this.

Not because they’re fake.

But because they care about who gets the glory.

Paul says in Galatians 1:10, “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God?”

That question will mess with you—in the best way.

The goal isn’t to stop creating.

It’s not to stop showing up.

It’s not even to stop caring about the numbers.

It’s to continually surrender the numbers back to God.

Jesus, this platform is Yours.
These gifts are Yours.
These people are Yours.
The glory is Yours.

And if you ever catch yourself asking, “Is this about me?”

Don’t run from that conviction.

Let it bring you back to the One you started doing it for.

Because sometimes the very fact that you’re concerned about whether you’re glorifying Jesus is evidence that your heart still wants Him to get the glory.

Keep showing up.

Just keep making sure Jesus stays at the center.
