Born and raised in South Texas, Captain Chris Strakos has over twenty years experience fishing many bays of the Texas Gulf Coast. Captain Chris is licensed by the US Coast Guard and Texas Parks and Wildlife for charter bay fishing. In addition, Drifter Guides carries commercial insurance for clientele peace of mind on, and off, the water. Captain Chris is an avid supporter of the Coastal Conservat

ion Association and firmly believes in a friendly sustainable lifestyle. With this in mind, catch and release practices are often encouraged when sport fishing with Drifter Guides. When Chris isn't pursuing his passion on the water, scavenging for trophy trout and red fish, he enjoys cooking fine cuisine while entertaining friends and family. Whether he is BBQ-ing personal favorites like brisket and steaks, or cooking culinary classics pulled from Cajun, German, or American roots, Chris takes pride and precision in all that he explores.
