A new chapter for a longtime Coronado Fourth of July tradition 🇺🇸

The Coronado Fourth of July Rough Water Swim is now officially the Crown City Open Water Swim and joining the Crown City Classic race weekend lineup.

Join us on July 5, 2026 for a morning of open water swimming in beautiful Coronado with distances for all experience levels:

🌊1 Mile Open Water Swim
🌊 Half Mile Open Water Swim
🌊 250M Youth/Kids Sprint Swim

The Crown City Open Water Swim proudly supports Coronado Swim Team Elite (CSTE), helping young swimmers build confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of the water. Optional donations and event participation help support youth athlete development and the next generation of swimmers.

🏅 Want an extra challenge? Take on the new Crown City Challenge by completing both the Crown City Classic and Crown City Open Water Swim during race weekend to earn an additional medal.
