Team Purple Haze~Gateway Adventure Co Rainy day at New Melones and the Kokanee were still ready to play! 🎣🌧️
I finally broke down and went through the decon — easy process, $95 for my boat — then hit the lake solo. A few other diehards were out there fishing in the rain too, but I stayed away from the fleet, did my own thing, and found fish.
The hot ticket today? Dinomite Tackle by Dino Jack Rabbits — they were working great! 🔥
Derby season is here, and this is exactly the kind of day that gets you fired up. Don’t wait until the last minute to get your gear together. Stop by Gateway Adventure Co. at 611 McCarty St open 8 to 4:00 Monday through Friday and 10:00 to 2:00 on Saturday and Sunday and stock up on Kokanee gear, bait, tackle, and all the good stuff before the big derby days.

Team purple Haze Gateway Adventure Co Don Pedro fishing report 4-19-26

Wonderful day at the lake, kids came out in the afternoon to swim everyone had a great time caught some fish.

Raising water levels along with temperature changes in the water have got the fish moving around But they're there. Kind of had lockjaw this week today they eased up but it wasn't wide open still. But yesterday was the three species day Kings, big trout, and fat Kokanee.

It was a random bite not one lure work better than the other.. You got to cycle your gear check for corn nabbers!
