Mt. Davis Challenge

Mt. Davis Challenge The Mt. Davis Challenge is a 43/60 mile Bicycle race that will be held on Sunday July 26, 2026
USA Cycling event starting at 10:00am.

This is USA Cycling sanctioned road race event, permit pending. It is being hosted by the Confluence Tourism Association. The race starts in Confluence, PA and the route traverses the summit of Mt. Davis, the highest point in PA. Plenty of climbing and great scenery on the back roads of Somerset County. Registration at www.bikereg.com and at the Confluence Community Center on race morning.

Pulled up the race arrows today. It was a great day to get out on the course but sad to see the flooding damage from several inches of rain in the Confluence area on August 10th. The intersection is the bottom of Fort Hill Road at 523, intersection 2. Many homes had flooded basements and a few roads are still closed. Good to see many of the residents helping one another.
