A couple more boats headed out the door by/for this weekend. Hopefully they live good lives of floating at their new homes. Give a shout out or stop by the shop if you'd like to adopt your own new family member. We're still custom building boats to order here in Confluence, Pennsylvania along the Youghiogheny River (technically the Casselman River 300 yards before the Confluence with the Yough).

Respirator heavy day so far, lots of grinding and gluing going on at the Shredder shop these days. Rain is falling and the rivers are probably rising a bit for the Cheat Fest weekend. Not sure my plans yet, but the temperature is saying I may be in a drysuit... I guess its Cheat Fest so the weather is always questionable.

The Bride of Frankenstein Avon Scout story has come to it's conclusion on my end. She's on her way back home with her owner after we paddled the New together today as that was a great half way point for both of us. Thanks Dave Bassage for the help with shuttle, tips on lines on the river as I haven't been out there in quite a while, and great company. And Thanks to Scott for entertaining us in a rapid I would have never thought to be entertained at.

Festival season is here, grab all your best friends and get out there these next few weeks. Anyone have any clues? I was rooting through the shop looking for something I knew was somewhere... and I found this photo. At first I thought it was a different angle of Tom's famous Pillow flip, but that doesn't make sense based on the rocks and its a different helmet in the water. Maybe Tom flipped his Shredder vertically more than once... maybe its someone else. I have no idea who or where this is. Any of you have any context?

If you're waiting anxiously for the next update in the Bride of Frankenstein Avon Scout Saga, we got the bottom wear layers back on the boat and the drain holes punched out making it back into a self-bailer (the removable cross tubes made this step much easier). A little cleaning, tacking back down the end rub-strip, and some re-rolling all our work and this girl is headed back home and back out on the water! #ʜᴀɴᴅᴍᴀᴅᴇᴡɪᴛʜʟᴏᴠᴇ
