Here's a little peek into the happenings at the shop now that I have a little time to breathe. Our largest Shredder the 4-person in progress on the bottom was re-patterned to add the bulkheads I always thought it should have so the 14' main pontoons are now 2 air chambers. And sitting on top of that is our newest and now smallest Shredder, the Modern Baby (MB), a throwback to Tom's Baby Shredders of the past. We built this to meet the niche of people who wanted the performance of the Short Hull Design (SHD), but are lighter and we don't need all the displacement I designed into the SHD for me to use it. If you have an idea, run it by us, I'm always looking to innovate around here and hopefully these 2 small changes will help fill the get the boat you want niche not available from larger mass manufacturers/importers.

It's unfortunately for us F$ #% Up Friday at the shop today. This small overriding error under the floor is got patched and will be saving the new owner some money as we can no longer sell it as a first quality boat. The only way to get 2nd's from us is typically to order a new boat as we've yet to have a new owner turn down a discount on a professionally fixed mistake vs waiting for another boat and pay more for it.

The leaves are changing, cooler weather is coming. Make sure to inflate your boats to dry them out thoroughly before the season ends, and send them our way if they need any touch ups before the spring. We're repairing boats and keeping wait times short on new orders.

We had a full party of Shredders at Sweets Falls on Sunday running in tight formation. From my "normal crowd" we also had Bryan and Wyatt joining in on their first upper Gauley run in their new SHD Shredder. Everyone made it look smooth as I think we're all getting to old to swim on purpose anymore.

Continuing the maybe Old Enough to run for President boat saga. The OG Shredder spotted on the Upper Yough last week was also out on the Upper Gauley for fest weekend. Way to continue to keep the old boat alive and rocking out on the river, and thanks for sharing the photos with us Maris.

My last week was chaos in all forms but still like Christmas week with all my old and new river community friends coming to visit our portion of the world and the awesome whitewater we have here, thank you all for refilling my cup of joy.

One of the unexpected highlights of my week was running into this Shredder which may not only be old enough to drink but also old enough to run for President out running the Upper Yough. The 3-piece main pontoons and angled splash screen with valve facing forward ate both indicators of very early Shredders as the designs were still evolving, putting this particular Shredder's birthdate likely sometime in the late 80's. That makes it the oldest Shredder I've seen on the Upper this year!

Sorry the other people injuring themselves chaos prevented us from meeting officially, but to whoever owns this boat, thanks for still rocking a great boat!

After seeing some of the Inflatables tied to roofs of vehicles, I'm really glad my Shredders aren't going to affect my gas mileage on the way to Gauley fest. We're in the thick of Upper Yough week headed into Gauley fest this weekend. We have had a bit of time to squeeze in some extras in the middle of all the custom work. We have a SHD and a Rocker model 2 man ready to ship or deliver today if you need that last minute black rubber in your life for the fall.
