Yet another unofficial Upstream race is in the books. Congratulations to everyone who put the effort in I didn't, I took it as seriously as most years and even got the obligatory "I've never seen you in a kayak" at the put in. More attendance than usual, and my time remains around my average of 20 minutes as I refuse to work harder than I have to to make it through that annual bout of masochism.

Meet your boat builder, Zorb! She may be an awesome Shredder partner when you want one, but she certainly doesn't need anyone to hold her hand on the river. We employ some of the best boaters as they demand the best of their boats and they want you to have the same experience on the water with the finest watercraft they can build. We do our best to only produce boats we would want to paddle and hope we can share tgat tome on the river with you as that's really the best part of the job.

Hot pink accents strike again! This Big Rocker is also pre-set to accept an oar frame by swapping out our soft rope corner d-rings for metal d-rings and adding a wear strip on the top of the main pontoons. As always custom built to your needs right here in Pennsylvania, not set to a single pattern and imported.

Like Ducks in a row, we see here all 3 rockered models lined up and ready to go on the French Broad River. Left to right we have the SHD, Big Rocker, and Rocker all lined up. The differences aren't drastic from a far but make big differences in their carrying capacity and handling once you look close and get them on the water. Had a nature sighting of what I thought was fairly high up on the mountain for such a beast while driving over Sugarloaf Road today. One of the bigger snapping turtles I've seen the past few years. The question that came up is what theme music should be playing for snappers if Jaws set the tone for sharks?

Great weekend of whitewater. Jumped into the Upper Yough Race Saturday to compete as an S1 in an otherwise all S2 and R2, didn't win but had a decent showing. Then, had a family day on the Cheat today, nothing like 2' summer days on the Canyon. Next time I need to remember to take a boogie board for Cueball...

Results are in and Shredders swept the raft category in this year's Upper Yough Race, even I believe breaking the previous raft record time! Guess we have to push harder and shave more time next year to hold the records in local boats.

No rest in the warm months, catching up on new orders just means pulling out the repair boats and the shop is over run with Shredders again. Still plugging away, still building the finest crafts we can.
