Shelby set a goal, just 6 weeks ago: to bench press 95 lbs. She was starting at 65 lbs. She didn’t just hit her goal... she absolutely CRUSHED it with a final lift of 105 POUNDS!
Getting to a big goal isn't just about doing the same lift over and over. It's about meticulous preparation, evaluation, and the right strategy. This is exactly what I focus on at Utter Confidence:
Form & Technique: We started with the fundamentals: bracing, breathing, and protecting her shoulders with perfect form. This is essential when adding weight.
Accessory Work: We targeted all the muscles that support the bench press, the back, core, chest, and arms, to ensure a solid foundation.
Spotting Weakness: In Shelby’s form, I noticed her wrists were collapsing, limiting her power. I added specific exercises to build grip and wrist stability.
This is what having a trainer to evaluate your unique needs looks like. I don't just guess; I diagnose and build a plan specific to your body and your goals.
I’m so proud of you, Shelby. Let’s keep pushing that PR! 🔥
Whether your goal is a 105lb bench press or just feeling strong, let’s build your plan. Send me a DM or visit www.utterconfidence.com to book your free consultation.
