All right I have made you all wait long enough for my post 2026 Wisconsin Speed Freak Rimfire Match speech! Somehow, the amazing people who attend this match from all over the country continue to set the bar higher year after year. Once again you have set a new record for Colfax Sportsmen's Club Inc. We had the most Competitors ever register for this match and every single one of our Divisions had increased numbers. You All Did That!!! And I THANK YOU!
Over the weekend 131 people walked the Prize Table after finishing the Match. The Competitors shot 10 really fun and a little bit challenging stages. Those stage pictures are posted below, along with our Squad Pictures.
We had 32 incredibly generous Sponsors for this match, Facebook is telling me I am tagging to many people / Sponsors please look back on our pre match posts for the full list of Sponsors. Make sure you give them a Follow and a BIG Thank You!
The Clubhouse Staff did an incredible job checking in Competitors, sometimes babysitting, but most importantly serving up the food. They might have also set a record, 11 quarts of pickles consumed by the Competitors and their families 🙃🙂! Thank Dorothy and Lois!
Now for my Range Safety Officers, I personally cannot create and run a Match like this without you all. You showed incredible patience and resolve over the weekend and I THANK YOU! You all deserve the credit getting 137 shooters through all the stages and then delivering them to the Awards Ceremony with smiles on their faces.
On to the trophies, THANK YOU Colfax Steel Smashers for getting those all purchased, painted, and assembled. They looked amazing and I hope those of you lucky enough to snag one or five really do appreciate them. Also, Thank You for being painters on Saturday!
As for the future, those in attendance got to hear that my fiance and I will soon have a couple of additions to our family. Yes, I said a couple! Our Twin girls are due Labor Day. So with that being said, I have a date for the 2027 Match, but I am not chiseling it in concrete until we find out everything goes good with our bundles of joy. Praise God! We would never turn down any prayers if you feel so moved to include us in yours.
Enough about me, once again I appreciate you all and I hope to see you on the range very soon! Thank you for making Wisconsin Speed Freak Rimfire what I dreamed it would be!
