Well this was fun today! I couldn't get the video of Kat in a full on saddle seat road trot because I was too busy coaching Alena who's never trotted that fast before, but man did it look fun! 😆 She had quite a bit of horse under her today.

Hello followers!
If you've been waiting for the results of our mommy and me class survey, I want to let you know that I got them and thank you for filling it out! Life has been really crazy lately and that's why you haven't heard from me. Unfortunately, my schedule for October - December changed quite a bit which means adding a weekly fall class won't be doable this year.
However, if our weather stays mild we might be able to fit in 1 or 2 one time events before winter and then set up a class in the spring. Keep following for updates and as always feel free to contact me!
I'm leaving the survey open so if you're just now seeing this you can fill it out with this link. Thank you all 😊

Jasper's progress from summer training camp was wonderful to see! This is the end of his last session. For a horse who struggles to connect concepts and has such a need for movement, I am so incredibly proud of the horse we have uncovered this summer. It's like I can finally see his brain working! In past years most of the time working with Jasper felt like chaotic movement and often a level of disassociation where he kinda just failed and flopped his way through life. That's actually the reason we only work with him through protective contact because he has a tendency to throw himself onto things including his human. He has truly been one of the oldest and most challenging horses I've worked with!
But what is underneath ALL of that is a very thoughtful, sweet boy who loves playing games with his humans and having a good time. He loves his work now and constantly begs to go out when I bring food bags and targets out for other horses. It's been incredibly slow going to get here but we are just getting started! Good boy Jasper! 💚

There's a saying that riding horses and having horses are two different hobbies, chronic illness makes that even more distinct. I didn't make it through the day with energy to spare for any training but instead of just getting through my chores and heading inside to crash, I chose to just enjoy my horses and the beautiful weather for a while. I spent some time remembering that everything around me is practically a lifetime of answered prayers. God has been so faithful! Little me dreamed of lots of exciting rides and competitions but honestly I think this kind of evening is actually what she wanted most. Just a girl and her horses 💕🙏

We are trying to gauge whether there is interest in pre-riding classes or events for young children. The goal of the class or events would be to get little ones comfortable around horses in small ways and get them excited about all things nature and agriculture. Topics would include safety, brushing, horse colors, horse food, and feeding the horses.
If interested, please consider filling out this survey.
Thank you! 😊
