We’d like to wish one of our own, Markel Bell, the best of luck tonight as he, along with his teammates at the University of Miami, play in the CFP National Championship game at 6:30 versus Indiana! Markel has always represented our program, school, and community in the absolute best way, and we can’t say enough how proud we are of where his hard work and dedication have gotten him! Here in Wolfpack country, we are pulling for the Hurricanes tonight!

Tomorrow night, your Cleveland Central Wolves host Holmes County Central in the second round of the MHSAA Class 5A Playoffs, with a spot in the North State Championship on the line! The Road to Starkville continues, and we need EVERY Wolf in the Pack inside Mickey Sellers Stadium!

The Road to Starkville begins tomorrow night.

Your Cleveland Central Wolves host the Lafayette Commodores in the opening round of the MHSAA Class 5A Playoffs. The field is painted, the lights are ready, the popcorn is waiting, and an electric November playoff atmosphere is waiting on you to complete the puzzle! The forecast is projecting a beautiful night for playoff football!

🤩 FIRST LOOK: 2025 HOMECOMING GAME FIELD 🤩

The Wolves Den is dressed and ready! 🐺💜🖤

Our field crew (thanks Apex) has been hard at work adding some special touches for this year’s Homecoming matchup — including:

✅ Freshly painted end zones
✅ Our bold, custom-created diamond-shaped CCHS logo at the 25 yard lines
✅ A fierce Wolf at midfield
✅ Pink ribbon accents at the 25 yard lines in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
✅ Custom pink-trimmed 50 yard line markers to honor survivors, fighters, and families

The combination of high-quality grass and World Class Athletic Surfaces paints is awesome! Special shout out to Fleming Lumber Co. for the assist with the pink paint again this year! Y’all can keep the turf — we prefer the REAL thing over here 😉

Tomorrow, we welcome the Vicksburg Gators to Cleveland for a key 5A Region 2 showdown. This game matters, and we need The Den PACKED and LOUD!

The Wolves are on the road tonight, taking on the Jaguars of Holmes County Central High School, but we had some business to tend to before we hit the road this afternoon.. one of our team managers turned 40 today, so of course we took the time out to wish him a happy birthday! Join us in wishing Correnski Robinson a happy birthday! If you’ve been around the program at all, you’ve likely seen Ren, decked out in his purple with his snack bag, ready to support the Wolves and help any way he can! We appreciate all of his help and really appreciate his family for allowing him to come around and sharing him with us! Go Wolves!

Meet Apex — our brand new TinyMobileRobot field-painting machine! Thanks to the support of the Cleveland School District administration and our Athletic Director, Leroy Cotton, we are taking a huge step forward in efficiency and excellence for our athletic programs.

This state-of-the-art technology will serve our football, soccer, baseball, and softball programs, as well as any other athletic or school needs as they arise. Apex allows our coaches to focus more time on our athletes while ensuring professional-quality field preparation across all sports.

We are proud to continue investing in our student-athletes and programs, and we’re excited to share this innovation with the entire Cleveland Central community.

All parents/guardians of 2025 Cleveland Central Football players are encouraged to attend our upcoming Parent Meeting.

This meeting will cover important information for the upcoming season, including schedules, team policies, volunteer opportunities, and how you can best support our players this year.

Final summer attendance numbers are in! This year’s group had the highest attendance percentage in the our school’s short history! We’ll post a list later today of the guys who made 100% (or more) of their days this summer, and again, this group has set a record! This is a huge deal, especially in the offensive and defensive line groups. Give these guys a pat on the back when you see them, but remember, players, the job is not finished! 29 dates and 19 practices stand between us and a date with the Clarksdale Wildcats on August 29.

Attention all players and parents!

Dragonfly paperwork must be completed before your athlete returns after the dead week! Attached is a video that shows the steps to move your athlete’s account from Cleveland Central Middle School to Cleveland Central High School. Please complete this so that they do not have to make a new account, which will force them to redo the NFHS Sportsmanship course as well.

For those who are in high school and already registered, all you have to do is follow the steps that begin at the 1:10 mark of the video. You should see 7/7 complete once the information is correct. Forms MUST be filled out electronically, and a picture of the physical must be uploaded. The physical will have to be approved. NOTE: if your child took the physical at the school in May, we have those copies and will get them uploaded for them. If they took a picture of it as instructed and can go ahead and upload the photo themselves, that would help our staff out a lot in terms of time.

We want EVERYONE to have their Dragonfly paperwork completed before they return from the dead week next week. The app is no longer available in the app stores, so this must be done in the browser on a phone, tablet, or computer.
