JV FOOTBALL BEGINS TOMORROW!

The Junior Varsity Wolves kick off their season tomorrow night at home against the Greenville High School Hornets! 🚨ATTENTION CLEVELAND CENTRAL STUDENTS🚨

Do you want to be involved in the football program, but you're just not very interested in playing? Do you want to learn more about football technology, videography, or flying a drone? Would you like to learn the ins and outs of the game? We have a great opportunity for you!

We are in need of student managers/technologists. These would be responsible, trustworthy, and dependable students who are able to be at practice daily, be at home games and travel to away games (with the team). These students should also be students who are not involved in other sports or band, as those would interfere with football duties. NOTE: Unfortunately, at this time, due to travel constraints for away games, we are only able to accept male students.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐PARENTS: this is a way for your child to get college paid for! We have a former manager/filmer who has been on scholarship in addition to a paid stipend at Delta State since he graduated from CCHS! We have also sent two former managers to the MS/Alabama and Bernard Blackwell North/South All Star games! College programs need managers and filmers too, and they give out scholarships for those that are truly exceptional!

Took the guys for a dip in the pool this morning after a long summer preparing for this season.. thanks to Kyle Partridge at Delta State University for helping us put this together and allowing us to beat the heat this morning! The Wolves have worked hard this summer and we can’t wait to put on a show for everyone this season! Make sure you come out under those Friday Night Lights and support these young men who have battled the elements all summer in hopes of making their families and community proud!

The 2026 Cleveland Central Wolves Football Schedule is officially here, and the mission remains the same — defend home turf, attack every Friday night, and keep our eyes on the prize - the gold ball in Starkville, MS.

As we work through the remainder of the summer, this is our why. Every rep, every early morning, every workout all boils down to this.
It all matters.

Wolfpack fans, mark your calendars. Pack the stands. Bring the noise. This fall, we hunt together.

Spring football has ended, and that means summer is upon us! While we are pleased with the success of yesterday’s spring game, we can’t get complacent and we can’t be satisfied! Wolves, we’re giving you a week off to get yourself prepared for the grind of summer workouts. Please make sure you’re taking care of your body! Nutrition, hydration, proper rest and recovery time are just as important as the work you put in. Wake up early enough to get something on your stomach to fuel your body as we push it to its limits, and replenish what you lost when we finish!

Parents, we ask that athletes be dropped off at 6:30 AM so we can go ahead and get our work in and get them back home! We also understand there will be times you are out of town or on vacation, and we encourage the guys to go and spend time with their families and have fun because you can’t get those days back. All we ask is that your child communicates with his position coach and Coach Woodard to let them know when they will be gone on vacation.

There are also camp dates attached for your benefit! This list was accurate as of Monday, May 11, based on all available information we could find. Some of these camps we may attend as a team, but you will need to find your own transportation for the majority of these camps if you wish to attend. Camp dates count double for summer workout attendance as long as we have proof you went and got some work in! Camps can benefit your development greatly, so we encourage you to take advantage of as many opportunities as you can.

Lastly, sports physicals for the 2026-27 school year will take place at CCHS in the gym on Wednesday, May 20. Times will be communicated later. Forms are available in the high school office as well as from your coaches. Please reach out and make sure you get a form because the front page needs to be completed prior to your arrival for physicals. Students will also need to complete all Dragonfly requirements before they will be allowed to participate in summer workouts with the football team. Coaches will be on hand to help students and/or parents get this completed throughout the week.

🏈🔥 It’s that time again… FOOTBALL IS BACK! 🔥🏈

The wait is over — Cleveland Central Football is hitting the field for spring practice, and we can’t wait to get rolling!

📍 All practices will start at 4:00 PM on the dates listed and will be held right here at Cleveland Central High School. Spring practices are used to evaluate talent and make preparations for the coming fall season! Come out and catch a glimpse of the work being put in!

We’ll wrap up the spring with some friendly competition as we take on Greenville High School in the Delta Touchdown Club Spring Jamboree on Saturday, May 16.

This is where it starts… the grind, the growth, the foundation for the fall. Let’s get behind these guys and bring the energy all spring long!

🚧 FACILITY UPDATE 🚧

Lots of our fans have spoken out over the years, and we listened! We are finally renovating our football stadium, and we think fans will love what we're doing as it brings you closer to the game and closer to nature at the same time! This will be great for the environment as well as provide a one-of-a-kind fan experience on game day. Check out what we have and what we have planned!

Cleveland Central Football is excited to unveil plans for a new levee-style seating area on the home side for the 2026 season 🌱

This natural design will:
✔️ Improve drainage
✔️ Provide flexible seating options
✔️ Create a more unique game day atmosphere
✔️ Allow you to feel the same grass on the field

Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Wolves fans, especially the little ones, will love being able to run free on Friday nights under the lights, and this new seating arrangement will allow you to feel like you're really part of the pack! Closer to the game. Closer to nature. 🐺

This past weekend, we took 7 Wolves to Jackson to compete in the MHSAA Powerlifting State Championship. These guys represented Cleveland Central and our entire community with toughness, discipline, and pride.

When it was all said and done… every single lifter finished in the Top 5 in the STATE. 🐺💪

• Derrick Washington – 🥈 2nd Place (114 lbs)
• Kenzie Early – 🥈 2nd Place (123 lbs)
• Tre Turner – 5th Place (132 lbs)
• Kayvion Thomas – 🥉 3rd Place (148 lbs)
• O’Rhyon Burnice – 🥉 3rd Place (198 lbs)
• Jaden Johnson – 🥉 3rd Place (242 lbs)
• Kameron Green – 4th Place (275 lbs)

These young men have spent months grinding in the weight room, and it showed on the platform on Saturday. Many guys put up personal bests on their individual lifts as well as totals, and they competed until the very end against the best of the best in 5 A powerlifting.

All of these guys have either come out of or are still in our football program over the years and we could not be more proud of the effort they put into competing in powerlifting.

Shout out to Coach Kendrick Woodard for getting the guys prepared and putting up our best team showing in Powerlifting in our school’s history.

We’d like to wish one of our own, Markel Bell, the best of luck tonight as he, along with his teammates at the University of Miami, play in the CFP National Championship game at 6:30 versus Indiana! Markel has always represented our program, school, and community in the absolute best way, and we can’t say enough how proud we are of where his hard work and dedication have gotten him! Here in Wolfpack country, we are pulling for the Hurricanes tonight!
