Clayton Bocce

Clayton Bocce The Ipsen Family Bocce Park is located in historic downtown Clayton, California on Main & Oak Street.

Join our league, host a private party, or just play for fun! In the spring of 2014, the Ipsen family began construction on a new downtown park that would change the setting of the city's downtown district and bring life to a very dark corner of town. The park was erected as a memorial park in honor of the Ipsen family that has been active in the City of Clayton for over 40 years. Founder of Skipol

inis Pizza, Skip Ipsen, was one of the founding members of the Clayton CBCA (Clayton Business& Community Association) which has been improving the welfare, prosperity, and common good of the entire community since 1984. The Ipsen Family Bocce Park consists of four regulation bocce courts with professional grade drainage, custom scoring posts, oyster shell playing surface, a large decorative trellis system, and state of the art led lighting for evening play. The Ipsen family bocce courts are available for "Open Play" Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm and Saturday all day. On Sundays, the courts are available for open play for a very short period (10am-12pm) due to "League Play" all day.

Who needs ESPN!?! Want to watch some of THE BEST co****le players in THE WORLD compete for top cash prizes? Come to downtown Clayton at 5:00pm tomorrow at the Ipsen Family Bocce Courts! Clayton Business and Community Association and Clayton Co****le are hosting a BYOP (bring your own partner) tourney for advanced players. Little did we know we'd attract some of the best in the game, including the 3x and current #1 American Co****le League singles player, Jamie Graham! (see pic below with him on the left and our very own Clayton league player, Chris White on the right, taken at The Throw Down Co****le Festival in August).

The day kicks off with a tourney for beginner/intermediate players at noon and we have 30+ teams signed up for that, as well. The advanced tourney has 20 teams and the day is dedicated in memoriam to Clayton Perry who was highly influential in bringing co****le to Clayton and passed away far too young. Special thanks to Skipolini's Pizza who will be providing food for our players during both tournaments. Come down and enjoy the day and watch some top tier co****le! Let's throw some bags!!
