Session A’s boys and girls overnight camping trips were one for the books! 💙 From games and nonstop laughs to roasting marshmallows, making s’mores, and spending quality time with camp friends, these nights were filled with all the little moments that make camp SO special!

Wild nights, crazy competitions, and nonstop FUN! 🎉

Week 1 of Session A brought the energy with some of our favorite evening activities! From Slip N Slide Kickball to Crazy Featz, bringing the competition at Field Day, and SO much more!

The laughs were endless, the camp spirit was through the roof, and the memories were unforgettable! 💙

And the craziest part?! That was only HALF the fun Week 1 had in store!

One of the best parts of Camp Blue Ridge? Campers get to CHOOSE how they spend their days!

With 40+ activities across Aquatics, Athletics, Outdoor Adventure, and The Arts, there’s always something new to try and something you already love waiting for you!

Every 3 days, campers select a new elective activity schedule, giving them the freedom to explore new interests, build skills, challenge themselves, and keep coming back to their favorites.

Campers are grouped by interest and skill level with qualified instructors, giving them the chance to learn alongside campers from all different cabins and age groups. It makes CBR an incredibly social environment where friendships are built ALL OVER CAMP—not just in your bunk!

DAY 1 AT CBR!

The bags are unpacked, the bunks are full, and it’s officially time to settle into CAMP LIFE!

Day 1 is all about getting to know CBR and getting to know your new bunkmates! Campers spend the day exploring camp through cabin activity rotations. This allows campers to bond with their bunk, meet our awesome activity instructors, and getting a taste of the MANY activities they’ll have to choose from this summer!

After a full day of exploring, we end the night with our first official bunk evening activities. It is all about running around, laughing, playing, and turning those new bunkmates into new friends.

And just like that… Day 1 is in the books! The adventures continue into day 2, when individual activity schedules begin!

We’re missing camp WAY too much… so there’s only one thing to do: relive Summer 2026 from top to bottom!

And where better to start than Session A Opening Day?!

A day filled with SO much excitement, a few butterflies, big drop-off hugs, puppy appearances, a little rain that couldn’t bring us down, reunions, new friendships, and that feeling you only get when you’re finally BACK AT CBR!

We ended the night with our legendary Counselor Lip Sync Smackdown! The laughs, the energy, the costumes, the performances… it was the perfect way to kick off an unforgettable summer.

Opening Day, you really are one of our favorites.

We can’t wait to do it all over again next summer!
