HOW I BEGAN SAVING HISTORY & COLLECTING
My Aunt's were the people in my childhood that impressed on me the importance of 1). history and 2) collecting something. My great Aunt was the family historian and often used postcards to commemorate a milestone in our family. My Aunt collected salt and pepper shakers to the tune of 5,000 sets that my Uncle actually built her a room of shelves for her massive collection. So I began collecting postcards. My mom used to tell my dad he was a pack rat, so I knew whatever I chose to collect, it had to be small & not take up much space. There used to be a Flea Market in town and during the summer my Dad would stop by every Saturday looking for old tools and manly stuff. I was intrigued with the huge box of old Real Photo Post Cards and over the years amassed a handsome collection of 1800s railroad wreck postcards and historical buildings, towns & events. Here is a RPPC I recently found of the Duluth Limited Wreck that occurred October 29/30 in 1908. Diggin With Deej 💜

Seeing as my reel is not being shared I am sharing pictures of my deal of the month found at Kroger today. I will be de-boning 5 rotisserie chickens original price of 8.99 ($45) purchased today for $3.60 ea ($18) which is a 60% off savings! You could freeze dry the chicken meat. Also roasting the bones to make chicken broth. Perfect meal for winter blizzard food in Michigan! MEGA SCORE!

Fakes?!?! What do you think?

I believe this is FAKE Wedgewood! It appears to be painted on glass. I thought Wedgewood was porcelain or China? What do you think? Deej 💜

Today I stopped in an antique shop looking for a deep bookcase strong enough to hold some of my canning jars to also extend my kitchen counter area. But no luck with that piece of furniture. I did find 2 Vintage 50 year old Political Thimbles from the 1976 race between Carter and Wallace. Pretty cool pieces of history! Diggin With Deej 💜
