Still need your licenses? Consider purchasing on the Michigan DNR Hunt Fish app where you can get your tags instantly utilizing the new electronic harvest tag and keep all of your licenses in one place for easy access.

⚠️ STAY SAFE AFTER THE STORM ⚠️

With thousands of residents still without power in the wake of severe storms this week, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office reminds everyone to use caution as cleanup and recovery efforts continue.

Please refer to the infographic below for important safety information regarding downed power lines and the safe operation of portable generators.

Always assume a downed wire is live and dangerous. Stay well away, keep children and pets clear of the area, and report downed lines to your utility provider or 911 if they pose an immediate public safety hazard.

If you are using a generator, remember that improper operation can lead to deadly carbon monoxide poisoning, fire or electrical hazards. Never operate a generator inside a home, garage, basement or other enclosed space.

Please share this information with your family, friends and neighbors, especially those who may still be without power.

Stay alert. Stay safe. Look out for one another.

September has arrived! This month, deer hunting kicks off with the Liberty Hunt and early antlerless seasons, opportunities for hunters with disabilities, youth hunters and antlerless deer hunters to get some venison. Before the seasons begin, here are some reminders.

To start, this year we have electronic harvest tags for deer. If you purchase on the Michigan DNR Hunt Fish app, your deer tag will be electronic. This means when you harvest your deer, you will digitally notch the tag (no cell service required) and then report your harvest as you've done in the past.

Additional changes for deer hunting regulations are also in place this year. A few of the bigger changes:
🔶 Removal of the limited fi***rm deer zone, allowing hunters to use the same hunting equipment throughout the state.

🔶 Early antlerless deer season has moved to Sept. 12-13 to coincide with the Liberty Hunt.

We will add additional resources in the comments for hunting regulations summaries and additional adjustments to the 2026 deer season.

As always, we hope you see success if you're joining in on these early seasons and please remember to report your harvest. Harvest reporting is required, and helps provide real data that tracks impacts of hunting regulations and provides guidance for recommendations for future changes.

The league begins September 15th, Shoot at your convenience whenever the Sh***un Club is open - there is no designated league day!

📌 Single shooters only—no teams

• 400 clay targets total

💰 League Fees:
• $12 for Sh***un Club members
• $17 for non-members
• Sh***un Club membership is only $5

Sh***un rentals are available for $10 with advance notice and a signed waiver. Twelve and 20-gauge am******on is available for $11 per box.

🏆 Prizes will depend on the total number of shooters.
