Congratulations to Tyler French for winning the 2025 Big Walleye Tournament Bragging Rights Battle Trophy with 12.51 lbs. and his wife Aileen caught a 10.12 lbs. It was a great day and the weather held out thanks everyone who came out and Fish the tournament .

Registration/sign up,it is mandatory from fish and game when I do the final report. I will have a clipboard at Lyonsferry and Texas Rapids boat launches. All you have to do is fill in your information. It’s that simple .

Update …weather looks to be fishable… I understand if you choose not to participate. There are some big changes next year. I will share at weigh in and on here after the tournament. Tournament ends at 3 last weigh in is at Lionsferry Marina because of the weather I will extend it till 330 for the people fishing downriver or above Texas Rapids and need to pull the boat out of the water and drive down to the weigh in. No fishing after 3pm this is a gentleman‘s tournament.

The weather is getting better but not perfect. I have guys that want to fish and guys that might not. So far the tournament is on yes it’s rainy and some wind but the worse of the wind starts Saturday evening. I will still continue to watch several weather reports and make a final decision sometime tomorrow thanks

Ok guys weather is not looking great for this weekend..Safety has to be first priority. I have had several guys message me concerning the wind gust over 31mph, I will look at the weather closely everyday and see if it changes. I will make a decision by Thursday..
