Our final Defensive Pistol Skills League of 2026 kicks off this morning.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make the inaugural season what it has become.

Today we get one more morning to move, think, solve some problems, make some hits, probably miss a few, learn something, and have a good time doing it.

Let’s finish strong.

You need somebody watching you.

One-on-one coaching gives us the opportunity to slow things down, identify what is actually happening, and build practice around your specific needs.

That might mean fixing a persistent problem.

It might mean becoming more consistent.

It might mean pushing an already solid skill farther.

**TOMORROW!**

It's hard to believe we're already at the end of our first Defensive Pistol Skills League season.

We've had a great time creating challenges that encourage shooters to move, think, solve problems, and safely apply the skills they've worked to develop.

Tomorrow we're bringing back a few favorites, adding some new challenges, and sending this season out with what promises to be our best DPSL yet.

Let's hear about your first range experience.

Do you remember the first time you went shooting?

Who took you? What did you shoot? And most importantly, what made that experience memorable?

Was it something positive that got you hooked, or was it an experience you wouldn't want someone else to repeat?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from those who didn't grow up around fi****ms.

Being a good shooter doesn't automatically make someone a good instructor.

And being good at teaching experienced shooters doesn't necessarily mean you're prepared for someone who has never held a fi***rm.

New students often arrive with uncertainty, apprehension, misconceptions, and expectations we may not have anticipated.

How we manage those first experiences matters.

October 24–25, we're hosting Citizens Safety Academy for their Gateway Instructor Development Course.

The focus is on developing instructors who can effectively introduce brand-new shooters to fi****ms in a structured, welcoming, and responsible way.

If teaching new shooters is part of what you do, this is an opportunity worth considering.
