Copperhead C**t Abernathy took the overall win in his first time at Fannin County MX! In dominating fashion he lead every lap in both Moto 1 and Moto 2. With his limited MX experience he set a goal for him self to place at least 4th and learn.

C**t competed in his first MX/MXGP race this weekend. He was able to progress throughout the day, and learn how to ride on a track, running as high as 2nd before a late race crash. Small mechanical failures unfortunately plagued us as well this weekend. He was able to rebound to a 6th place overall. Most importantly he had fun and learned in a new environment.

Unfortunately we had bike issues again, I'm guessing that we will need to hone the engine for the rings on the piston to seat correctly. If you saw any sort of smoke coming from the Hancock county area, it was from a KTM. Also the expansion chamber is crumbled. The good news is that we have a few weeks off until next race to repair issues.

Even low on power with a smoking bike, C**t rode very well and ended up with 6th place, matching his best finish of the SORCS Southern Off-Road Championship Series so far this year.

He did very well on the start, and passing, threading the needle with diverse traffic typical seen in XC racing. Just a little less than a year ago he couldn't even pass in a race. You can't teach everything, they have to develop a racer instance on their own.

.o.r.c.s round 5. Crazy Horse, Buena Vista, Georgia

Surprisly, this sandy course was C**t's favorite course so far. Having a small wheel vs big wheels was a challenge in soft sand. Line choice became crucial early in the race.
Kept his KTM cool in sandy conditions from overheating

C**t did extremely well on the starts, going into the woods in 4th place. Unfortunately, he fell off early on and had to make positions up. He has been working very hard at home doing drills for starts, which paid off. Improvement from being last off the line, with help from his father
