Chugiak Aquatics Club (CAC) is a competitive year-round swim club for swimmers of all ages and levels.

Woo hoo another meet ✅
We had 24 swimmers participate in the swim like a fish pentathlon yesterday at the UAA Pool.
These swimmers placed in top 3 of their age group: McKenzie O, Olivia H, Emma H, Charlotte S, Khalyse R, Anna H, Emmitt B, Nyle B, Mason B.
We also had so many CAC parents helping at this meet- Thank You!
Lots of fast and fun swimming.

Another busy week of swimming- Almost done! Wednesday was the start of high school swim and dive but also the start of Age Group Zones in Idaho. Congrats to all our CAC swimmers near and far. Today was also a meet in Palmer AK. Lots of duckie winners and best times in Palmer. And in Idaho- Emma placed 1st in the 50 breast and Evan placed 5th in the 200 breast and lots of best times overall from our crew at zones. This is the last day at zones too. Swim strong and go chinooks!

And the beat goes on! Summer Champs is done but the next wave of swimming is happening. Tuesday was customer appreciation day at GAPCO, the same day we moved the bulkhead back to SCY. Wednesday was a team party at Mirror Lake- success- and today our CAC swimmer Matthew Baker raced to a best time in the 100 back at Futures. A few more days of Futures in Sacramento CA. Go Chinooks!

We had some fast and fun swims this last weekend. Congratulations we placed 1st at ASI Summer Long Course Champs! There were some new state records set by Blake and Evan, and many CAC swimmers on the podium. We also have 6 swimmers heading to zones soon and another swimmer heading to Futures. I think this cheer is great and we are forever thankful for Coach Colny’s cheering genius.

We are on day two of Alaska Swimming Summer Champs 2026. The team is swimming well and doing a great job of cheering each other on. The pool is set to Long Course Meters so let’s keep swimming and cheering on each other and the competition.
Finals tonight and one last day tomorrow!

Wow- we are excited for summer champs. Thank you to all the volunteers making it happen. Also thank you to everyone stepping up where they can. Tomorrow is the first day of summer champs. Go CAC!

Nice job everyone who swam in the meet this last Saturday at the Bartlett pool. It was long course meters- a great opportunity for swimmers to have. AFA/Yetis hosted.
A few fun fast swims and some ties were made.
Now we move on to Summer Champs - July 24, 25 and 26th.
Entries due tomorrow!

Thank you NLSC for hosting our dual meet last night. We appreciate the opportunity to compete.
We had a challenge from the traffic, etc but are thankful for all who participated.
We have another meet tomorrow morning. Thank you for all the volunteers!
Now we need more volunteers for the meet tomorrow at Bartlett.

Please Read! We are canceling any morning practice at the Bartlett Pool TODAY!
There is a terrible accident on the Glen Highway heading into Anchorage- near the S Curves.

So- Practice is canceled.
