Here’s a good old throwback from around 2005, back when the Bellman Shootout was the originally the AmSnow Shootout! (American Snowmobiler) 🏁
This was a pretty incredible event to be part of. Aftermarket companies were given the opportunity to take a completely stock snowmobile, make a baseline run, then bolt on their performance parts and put it right back to the test.
The best part? Everything was watched and documented as the components were changed. Dynomite Dynamometers was also there to dyno the sleds before and after the modifications, putting real numbers behind the horsepower gains.
Straightline Performance Products came away with some excellent horsepower gains and some great ETs as we worked on dialing in the Ski-Doo 600 H.O. SDI, and a few others.
Looking back at these old photos, you can also spot some pretty big names in the snowmobile industry standing in the background and watching everything unfold.
It’s amazing to look back at the history, the people, the machines, and all the different events we’ve had the opportunity to be part of over the years.
A lot has changed since 2005, but proving performance with real testing has always been what Straightline Performance is about.
