It’s JUNE, Hardware fam — a month dedicated to PRIDE — pride in who you are, in what your body can do, and in the community we keep showing up for together. And there’s no one more deserving of that spotlight than our June Athlete of the Month: Mickey M! 💪🏽✨

Here’s why we’re proud of Mickey (and why he earned it): Mickey is a teacher, an entrepreneur, and a learner of life and he brings all of that energy into everything he does. His approach to training is committed, grounded, and intentional — never just going through the motions, always showing up with purpose. He’s the kind of athlete who makes the work look meaningful because, for him, it is.

He’s a true bad ass in the best way. The kind of person who inspires others simply by being fully himself, day in and day out.

Committed. Grounded. Intentional. And an all-around bad ass human. We’re proud to have you in this community, Mickey — this one’s well earned. 🙌🏽

Happy Pride month from Hardware Strength & Conditioning 🌈

We’re proud to be a queer-owned gym where every body lifts, every identity belongs, and showing up exactly as you are is the whole damn point.

As we wrap up May, we couldn’t end the month without sharing this amazing video of Coach Karyn. ❤️

Karyn said it best, what drives Hardware and sets us apart from others is the incredible community we’ve built together.

Karyn embodies everything Hardware represents, and we are so grateful to have her, her knowledge, and her positive impact in our community.

We love you, Karyn! 💙💪

This Saturday we’re taking on one of the most iconic workouts together and we want YOU there!

📅 Saturday, May 23rd | Coach-Led
⏰ 8:00am or 9:30am
⏳ 90-minute extended classes

Every level. Every body. Every version counts. Pick the one that challenges YOU.

🔥 And after the sweat? We’re grilling out + potluck style — bring something to share and stick around. The community part is just as important as the workout. 🥗🍔

May 9th — we’re pulling for something bigger.

Our girl is stepping on the platform at Chicago Pulls for Hope 💪🔥 — a team-based max deadlift competition raising money for mental health services.

This event is run by Chicago Pulls for Hope in partnership with Family Service Center, a non-profit providing counseling, crisis response, outreach, and education to individuals and families across Chicagoland ❤️

Let’s SHOW UP and SHOW OUT for her.
Pack the house. Bring the energy. Support a great cause.

💥 Strength for a purpose
💥 Community for a cause

It’s MAY, Hardware fam — and we’re switching things up in the best way ✨

Introducing our Coach of the Month — a new quarterly spotlight where we celebrate the humans who quite literally make this community stronger from the inside out.

And kicking it off for May… we’re beyond proud to recognize Coach Karyn 💪🏽🔥

By day, an occupational therapist. By night, a rockstar. And in every moment in between — a true bad ass athlete and coach.

Here’s what makes Coach Karyn so special:

She has a rare gift for meeting people exactly where they are — and then helping them level up. Whether you’re brand new or chasing big goals, Karyn brings the perfect blend of energy, encouragement, and intentional coaching that makes you feel seen, supported, and capable of more.

Her eye for movement, her ability to teach with clarity, and her deep understanding of how bodies move (and sometimes don’t) make her an invaluable coach on the floor. But it’s her connection with members that truly sets her apart — she builds trust, confidence, and community in every class she leads.

She doesn’t just coach workouts — she helps people tap into their full potential.

Knowledgeable. Intentional. Electric.
We’re so lucky to have you leading from the front, Karyn.

Before the month wrapped… we had to run it back.
Yoo Soo’s AOTM workout went OFF this Saturday 🔥
A reflection of his grind, his growth, and the energy he brings to Hardware every day.

It was never about changing how I look… it was about changing how I feel.

From short walks and shaky pull-ups to showing up for myself, again and again. Every rep, every choice, every “keep going” moment counts.

No perfection. Just consistency.

And that’s where the real strength lives.

Define yours. 💪🏽✨

Hardware is more than a gym, it’s a community. A place where people show up for each other, push limits, and grow together.

We’re looking for coaches who care deeply, bring energy, and are passionate about helping others become their best, inside and outside the gym.

If you lead with integrity, value connection, and love coaching people at all levels, we want to meet you.

🍀 It’s MARCH, Hardware fam — a month dedicated to LUCK — and we are beyond lucky to celebrate our March Athlete of the Month: Mollie W 💚✨

Here’s why we hit the jackpot with Mollie (and why she earned it):

A former self-proclaimed indoor kid turned absolute bad ass weightlifter 💪🏽 Mollie is proof that growth lives on the other side of comfort zones. She has embraced the barbell with grit, curiosity, and a quiet fire that keeps getting stronger.

But her strength doesn’t stop there. Mollie is a human of many talents…an educator, a creative, a grounded presence in every room she walks into. She moves through life (and training) with intention and depth, showing up steady, thoughtful, and ready to work.

Grounded. Multifaceted. Strong as hell.
We are so lucky you’re part of this community, Mollie. This one is more than deserved. 🍀💚
