Who is ready and excited for the first game?! We are just two days away! I know we are ready to get this season started! 🏈

A couple of important reminders as we head into the season:

1. Remember, this is youth flag football.
We all love football and get excited about the games, but screaming, heckling, or yelling at referees, coaches, or other parents will not be tolerated. We want to set a positive example for our kids and make sure this is a fun experience for everyone.

2. Please be patient with our referees.
You’ll notice we have quite a few more refs this season. During the first week, they will be wearing white T-shirts because our official referee shirts were delayed.

We have 4 returning refs and 7–8 brand-new refs, so just like some of our players may be learning the game or experiencing their first game, our refs are learning too. Most of our new refs are 15–18 years old. Please show them the same respect and patience you have shown us every year. They are doing their best to help make this league happen!

3. Look for the green whistle! 🟢
For those who don’t know me, I’m on the fields every Saturday helping with refereeing and getting games going. This year, especially for our new players and parents, I’ll be the only ref with a green whistle so you can easily identify me. If you have questions or concerns, please come find me and I’ll be happy to help.

4. Most importantly, THANK YOU!
You all make it possible for this league to happen, and we truly cannot thank you enough for choosing to play ball with us. Let’s have a great season, support our kids, and make some awesome memories!

Dear Cheyenne Youth Flag Football Families,

Welcome to the official opening of the 2026 Cheyenne Youth Flag Football season! We are excited to kick off another fun-filled year of teamwork, sportsmanship, and, of course, flag football.

First, a huge, THANK YOU, to all who have stepped up to coach this year. We know that you have dedicated a lot of your time to coach our athletes and we appreciate you!! We truly can't say thank you enough.

In your emails / Teamlinkt app you will find an IMPORTANT letter that contains essential information about the upcoming season. Please take a moment to open and read it, as it includes details that will help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Thank you for being a part of our league, and we can't wait to see you on the field!

To the sports moms…

The ones packing the bags... washing the uniforms... sitting in the bleachers... juggling the schedules... going from gym to gym and field to field and rink to rink... calming the nerves... celebrating the wins ... and carrying the heartbreaks with them too.

The ones making it all happen behind the scenes … often navigating from a place of exhaustion, but always a place of unwavering love.

We see you.

And while they may not say it now…
One day?

Your kids will look back and recognize all you did, too.

They’ll see the person who showed up in more ways than one…
… to make sure they could play the game they love.
