I am very excited to announce the next Traditions litter expected in early 2027. For Briar’s final breeding, we are pairing her with one of the all-time greats to come from the Sundance Line. VC Sundance Zane VD Westwind, owned and trained by Tate Stratton (Stillwater Shorthairs) was an incredible dog. He has produced over a dozen Utility Prized dogs, 3 Versatile Champions and too many great hunting dogs to count over 11 different breedings. Briar has also proven herself to be quite the producer. Over her first two litters, 13 of the 14 puppies have tested to an average of score of 110 and a Prize 1 in their NA tests. Breeding expected late January of 2027.

Pretty neat! It’s amazing that something can come along that paints a completely different picture than what’s been previously seen. Of course it is important where a dog came from. This gives some insight to what a dog has done to pass along its genetics, not just what it might potentially pass along. Thanks for sharing Fred!

Jeff’s a good dude. I’d love to say his litter is almost meets the Traditions bar but I think our dogs are all related🤣. He’d be good to reach out to if you’re looking for a pup.

Rose welcomed 7 pups last week — 5 males and 2 females. Mom and pups are all doing well, and we’re excited to watch this litter develop over the coming weeks.

The Risinger family has been great about sharing the adventures of Traditions Second Verse “Sadie”. According to Devon, a day in the life with Sadie is pretty boring. If only she would fetch turtles or wild turkey poults, maybe terrorize the cat or peel and eat her own banana or test the warranty claims of so called indestructible toys. Brian says he thinks she’s fun🤣. All I know is that their daughter Trish picked well! I love watching them do this whole thing as a family. Keep up the good work Trish!

Had a great time at the Rockin R Ranch this morning doing some training with Matt Roth and Keith LaLonde. Super happy with how Indy is coming along in his utility test training. Vixen is also doing real well at 5 months. She’s showing all the potential I hoped for and I’m looking forward watching her continue to put the pieces together. Thanks for hosting us Matt!!

Billy Wundrack did a thing! A couple weeks back Billy brought a pile of family and dogs to the MO Uplands / Navhda chapter and proceeded to put on a clinic. He prized every dog, including Traditions You Can’t Be Serious “Shirley”, in their respective tests. Shirley is the first of the Briar x Augie litter to earn a prize in the Utility Test when she got a 179 point, Prize III. I’m sure we’ll see a Prize I performance out of her soon enough. Very talented dog handled by a very talented trainer. WTG BILLY!
