Kamila did it again. A week ago she had her record Brocken by Zoe a new recruit to our Bronze team. She kept asking me to do a handstand hold contest so she can reclaim her record. Well last night we did it and before we started she said I’m going to beat it. And sure enough she beat it by one minute. Being competitive must be fun and healthy. You have to welcome others who are better than you, so you can be challenged. When you compete against those who might be better than you in one aspect, it pushes you to break your limits and in my humble opinion that trumps talent any day of the week. I love watching our kids be competitive and yet humble and welcoming. Champions who lift others up are more memorable. Can’t wait for all future wins of Kamila while shaping her mind as well as her gymnastics skills.
