As a personal trainer I'm blessed to be able to work with so many amazing individuals. Part of the job as a personal trainer is to help people reach their fullest potential and to inspire them to be great. However, sometimes they inspire you as well.
Raelynn is one of the most inspirational athletes I have ever worked with.
I’ve had the honor and privilege of training Raelynn for just about two years now. She came to me already an athlete - a rodeo barrel racer, a farm hand, a high schooler who knew and saw her goals.
Now I'll be honest when she said she was a barrel racer I had no idea what that was but after meeting her and her mom I bet I watched over two hours of barrel racing videos in order to see what they have to do and I was blown away by the athleticism needed.
About a year ago Raelynn had an setback in riding that made it hard to get back on the horse. Both metaphorically and literally. But I knew she had it in her to get back to baseline and become an even better rider and athlete than when she started.
Over the last two years I’ve seen her grow leaps and bounds, and come fall she’ll be attending West Texas University and joining the college rodeo team as well as expanding her academis. While we will be sad to see her go… and no longer have our guinea pig for super hard and complex exercises… we are so excited to see what her future holds.
Raelynn, strive for greatness, work hard in all you do, but above all - continue to be the bright light we know you to be. Happy graduation!
