Malachi Rice Earns IAHSAA All-State Honors, Named Class 2A Player of the Year
Centerville Big Red standout Malachi Rice has been recognized among the top high school basketball players in the state following a remarkable season on the court. Rice was named IAHSAA 2nd Team All-State, while also earning First Team honors from High School Sports on Sports Illustrated. Highlighting his standout year, he has additionally been named the High School Sports on Sports Illustrated Class 2A Player of the Year.
Rice played a pivotal role in leading the Big Reds throughout the season, showcasing a dynamic all-around game that consistently impacted both ends of the floor. Known for his scoring ability, court awareness, and defensive presence, Rice proved to be one of the most versatile and dependable players in Iowa high school basketball.
