Here at Second Steps Studio, not only do we instruct dance and dance technique, we also strive to instill character, self-confidence, poise, and lasting friendships.

Congrats to our students, Bryleigh Maye and Stella, on their promotions to pointe! They have worked so hard in their prerequisite classes, and got fitted for their first ever pair of pointe shoes this week! Anyone who has been on pointe knows how amazing putting that first pair on feels. Keep up the hard work, ladies! 💙

Mr. Jazzy is typing as fast as is little paws can handle to get emails with all the schedules out to everyone! Make sure to check your email regularly between now and the first day of class (August 10) so you don't miss out on class times, dress code information, and other important reminders! 🐶

Stop by the studio this Thursday if your dancer needs new shoes before classes starts! We will fit them in the correct size for you to order or stop by DanceMax Dancewear to pick up.

Please check your class schedule email for dress code and types of shoes your dancer may need.

Wow... all we can say is wow. 🥲

This group of girls showed true resilience this morning at Best of the Best, and took home 3rd for Jazz and 3rd for Stella and Lyla's duo.

We are truly so grateful for the opportunity to bring our team to nationals, it was an UNFORGETTABLE experience. We can't express enough how proud we are of our students and the hard work they've put in all year long.

While we are just a baby team entering our 5th comp year, we stood up and stood out! Even small studios can make waves.

Signing off on the 2026 competition season! See you the week of August 10 for the first week of classes! 💙

When we decided to bring our team to nationals for the first time, we never could have imagined it would end like this. In the best way possible.

Our teen & senior soloists performed their hearts out this morning and were rewarded just as much.

Kelsea received Platinum and Stacey, Elany, and Mylee all received Double Platinum's and season high scores for themselves.

Stella received a special judges "Stand Out Dancer" award immediately following her solo, which you can hear the judge speak to her in the video at the end. We apologize that it's blurry but if we're being honest, it was pretty blurry for us in person too! 😭

Lyla received 2nd overall and a score of 292 resulting in a season high for her!

This team has become so close over the years. They continue to grow not just in dance, but in character. Keep supporting each other ladies!

We still have 3 dances to recompete on Saturday at Best of the Best, but for now we rest. 😴

Thank you to every dancer, parent, and friend or family member that has supported us through the years! We aren't even half of what we are without you. 💙
