Jazz in AZ Arizona Jazz Dance Showcase was one for the books.

Incredible classes, phenomenal performances, and so many opportunities to learn, grow, and be inspired by the dance community.

We are grateful for the chance to be in the room, take it all in, and bring that energy back to our studio.

Dancers who can put their leg next to their ear, nail every turn sequence, and get through the hardest combination in class… but a simple walk across the floor and the energy shifts.

walks, transitions, and basic movement are still technique. they require control, weight placement, musicality, coordination, and intention. they expose habits that tricks and combinations can sometimes hide.

being able to do something difficult doesn’t automatically mean you’re a well-rounded dancer.

the details between the tricks matter just as much as the tricks themselves. sometimes more.
