Rincon League Recap! FMB/ Folded Hills claimed the last title of the season, the Jackson Hole Horse Emporium USPA Dean Mullins Congressional Cup, in an exciting final against A to Z.
After five close chukkers, the teams entered the final chukker tied, making it anybody’s game. At the start of the sixth, Inda Llambias, who had just stepped in as a substitute, picked up a backshot and ran to goal. The pressure didn’t affect the 13-year-old, who completed the run, broke the tie, and put his team ahead by one goal. This shift in momentum allowed FMB/Folded Hills to finish strong, with a final score of 12-9. Inaki Wulff was named the MVP of the match, while Santi Wulff’s horse, Plateada, was selected as Best Playing Pony.
In a very competitive Rincon League season, Patrick Uretz was presented the Season MVP award for his strong performance over the 8-week season, leading his team into three finals and a title in the USPA Malibu Masters Cup.
Also playing for team A to Z, Facundo Obregon was awarded the Best String of Horses. New to the league this year, Joseph Stuart was a pleasure on and off the field and was selected to receive the Sportsmanship Award.
