Four days out from the Tahoe Downwind Championship, and we want you on the start line.

This race is why Team Tahoe Waterman exists — a community of paddlers pushing each other, riding Tahoe waves, celebrating our paddle community, building something bigger than one race day.

Registration closes Friday at midnight. No do-overs, no late entries — just get in before the clock runs out.

Racing next weekend with a new format for the Waterman's Paddle Jam.
PADDLE JAM: A Progressive Elimination Paddle Race

Paddle Jam is built around a progressive elimination format designed to challenge both strategy and endurance. The course consists of 3-mile heats paddling from Tahoe Waterman's Landing to Rocky Point and back. Each heat has a pre-set time cut-off. To continue racing, paddlers must complete the 3-mile loop within the assigned time. Those who meet the standard advance to the next heat, with the opportunity to reach a total of 6 or 9 miles, depending on performance.

HEAT SCHEDULE
Heat 1 The Field — 9:00 AM start | 3 miles | 45-min cutoff (by 9:45 AM)
Heat 2 The Cut— 9:45 AM start | 3 miles | 40-min cutoff (by 10:25 AM)
Heat 3 Balls to the Wall — 10:25 AM start | 3 miles | no time cap

Day Schedule
7:00 AM – Venue Opens
7:30 AM – Registration & Check-In
8:45 AM – Race Meeting (all paddlers)
9:00 AM – Heats Begin

Placement is decided by:

How far you got. Paddlers who reach a later heat place ahead of those who don't, regardless of time. Your time within that heat. Among paddlers who reached the same heat, the fastest time wins the tiebreak.

Who will be the First Tahoe Waterman Jam Jam Slayer — Fastest Woman & Fastest Man of the Day - Open to all craft, this title goes to the single fastest combined time across all three heats — Heat 1 + Heat 2 + Heat 3. Only paddlers who complete every heat are eligible.
