Tate Aggies Baseball

Tate Aggies Baseball J.M. Tate High School, formerly known as Roberts High School, was founded in 1878 by Professor James Madison Tate.

Class 7A Awards:
● 1 National Championship – 1984
● 7 State Titles: 1962, 1968, 1976, 1984, 1986, 1998, 2005
● 20 FINAL FOUR Appearances

Head Coach: Brett McCullough Professor Tate fought in the Civil War on the side of the confederates and later became a Methodist minister and a prominent lawyer. The James Madison Tate Agricultural School was completed in 1917 and the school mascots have since b

een referred to as Aggies. Since there was no football equipment available at this time, the main sports were baseball and basketball. Former Tate Baseball players include Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Don Sutton, Travis Fryman, and J. Bell who all became professional baseball players. Awards
