Our RC Racing in the FLX crew had a good showing at Hostile Speedway this past Friday evening. We had seven on hand with most having their first ever race on dirt. Tim Bentley took home the top spot in the NASCAR class and Steve Chesler took the top spot in Traxxas Modifieds with Phil Tucker and Dan DeGroat filling the podium. Steve and Dan also took the top two spots in the Losi Sprint B-Main to bump to the A-Main where they finished fourth and fifth respectively.

What a season! I feel like I came skidding across the finish line on my roof, smoking and throwing sparks like Ryan Preece at Daytona. It started in mid January at the Salvation Army, transitioned to the GCCC in mid April and we ran every week until tonight. The season saw a crew of regulars from other RC tracks and slowly transformed in to a contingent of new racers. We had kids classes, novice racers, a class of all women racers, and plenty of new racers who graduated to the full speed classes and even started picking up some wins. As with all good things, it must come to an end, at least for now. There are plenty of summer dirt tracks that I hope to see some of the new guys at to dip their toe in the water. Check out Hostile Speedway (July 24th) and QuickTime 2.5 Speedway (July 25th) for some dirt action.

I want to give a huge shout out to Performance Hobbies, Blacksheep Speedlab , Hostile Speedway and QuickTime 2.5 Speedway for the door prize tonight.
