Who wants to dye?! Time to put the next Keystone Kiters' workshop on your calendar. Join us in Camp Hill, PA, on January 23-24 for a two-part workshop. First, dye master Steve Anderson is coming from Illinois to teach us dyeing techniques for ripstop. You'll be able to make several patterns in different colors, at $10/yard. Then, take your dyed fabric (or bring your own plain ripstop) and make a Federveich, a 5'x5' light wind flyer. $75/kit, includes carbon spars, 3D printed parts, bits and bobs, and a choice of multiple eyeball patterns.

Registration is $60, which includes two lunches. Please pre-order your fabric for dyeing ($10/yard), and Federveich kits ($75). You'll need to bring a sewing machine; hot cutting tools and templates are provided. To register, use PayPal ([email protected]) or PM for a mailing address if you want to send a check. See you in January, and get ready to dye!

Ben Huggett made this Squairform at the club's winter workshop. It took a little doing, and some serious hand gesturing at the Mail Boxes Etc in Naples, Italy, but the kite is now in Switzerland, with its new owner: Pavlo Schmulevych, president-in-exile of the Ukrainian Kiters Association. Thanks also to Mike Dertien for donating an Alicja Szalska-made "dove of peace" winder to go with the kite. Looking forward to the day when this kite can fly in the peaceful skies of Kherson.
