Keeping our series going here during August in honor of national dog month... We're highlighting our Syren community and their trusted hunting companions.

Rounding out today's post is a familiar face. No doubt you've seen her "Tuesday Tips" segments each week or read one of the many blog posts on our website. We're referring to none other than our Prostaffer and Hunting division manager Kate Ahnstrom.

A few words from Kate below...

"I had to beg my husband for our 1st bird dog, Lacy Blues. Then we realized 2 are better than 1 so we brought home Kai. It pretty much escalated quickly from there, lol. We’ve learned not all of our “kids” have to play the same games.

Some of the pups love to run in UFTA field trials, a few relish the splash of dock diving, some prefer wild birds and guiding clients but all of them love taking turns on the sofa with us. We’ve found it’s so hard to let go of litters but it’s incredible to get updates from their humans. Faith, one of my heart dogs is working hard in explosives detection and man trailing for NY DNR and Super B is patrolling the grounds at Rikers Island.

Most days, you will see my main man, Gunner on my side. He’s my rock and the dog I never knew I wanted. 🥰🐾"

It's official. Everyone loves a bit of show and tell, and our series here on our social channels highlighting our Syren sisters favorite companions has been a fan favorite! As we continue on...

Next up. Our OG Syren Pro-staffer and amazing human being Ashley Butcher and her dog Kimber.

Kimber is an Australian Cattle Dog or “Blue Heeler”. 

"Kimber travels all over the country with us to different tournaments. She usually hangs out at the camper while I’m shooting - I can’t bring her on the course with me because she must be right next to me at all times or she will bark. I like to think she is cheering me on 🥰 When we are not traveling, we spend lots of time at our home club helping my dad set targets." - Ashley

And let's not forget about Ashley... She's seen often at major competitions like NSCA Nationals running the leaderboards and crushing clays with the best of them. Multiple time champion and ProSquad member. Above all, Ashley is one of the best people you'll meet at any event she attends and is frequently seen in our Syren vendor building.
