Congrats to one of Calera’s own.

The City of Calera proudly congratulates Kobe Prentice on joining the Carolina Panthers in the NFL, marking an exciting milestone in his football journey and a proud moment for the Calera community.

A 2022 graduate of Calera High School, Prentice has continued to make his hometown proud through his success at the collegiate level, playing for both the University of Alabama and the Baylor Bears. His achievement reflects years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, and serves as an inspiration to students and young athletes throughout Calera.

To recognize this outstanding accomplishment, Mayor Cost, on behalf of the City of Calera, will host a community celebration in Prentice’s honor on Monday, April 27, at 6:00 p.m. in the Calera Courtyard.

Community members are invited to attend and join in celebrating one of Calera’s own as he reaches the next level of his athletic career. The event will provide an opportunity for residents, friends, supporters, and local families to come together and show their pride in Prentice’s success.

“Kobe Prentice’s achievement is a tremendous honor for our community,” said Mayor Cost. “We are proud of all he has accomplished and excited to celebrate this special moment with him and his family. His story is a great example of what can be achieved through talent, discipline, and determination.”

The City of Calera encourages all residents to come out and take part in this community celebration as the city recognizes Prentice’s remarkable accomplishment and wishes him continued success in the NFL.
